Alexander Kharchenko

I am a final-year Computer Science student at Swansea University, graduating in July 2026. My current average is 85%.
I am looking for graduate schemes and junior software engineering roles. I am most interested in backend work, infrastructure, distributed systems, and full-stack projects where the backend has some real shape to it.
This site is still a work in progress. I am slowly turning project notes into proper writeups.

Background
- I spent seven months as a Data Engineering Intern at Tradeshift, working with Scala and moving CI/CD workflows from Jenkins to GitHub Actions.
- Most of my recent projects use TypeScript, Express, SQLite, WebSockets, and Linux-hosted services.
- I also use Python, Java, SQL, Docker, nginx, GitHub Actions, and shell scripting.
Education
Swansea University, BSc Computer Science. Expected July 2026.
Some stronger module results: Concepts of Computer Science, Automata and Formal Language Theory, Software Engineering, Web Application Development, and Programming.
Outside Software
I play a lot of chess. My peak online rating is around 2450, and I have played blindfold simuls before.
Selected Projects
